Description | Review of present knowledge about diplozoid monogeneans(Diplozoidae, Monogenea). They represent a unique monogenean family parasitic cyprinid fishes in so-called “old” world. Until now, more than 70 nominal species have been described from Europe, Asia and Africa, however, due to very limited knowledge related to parasite phenotypic plasticity, correct description of species is still unclear and rather difficult. |
