| Description | This paper discusses Tatarkiewicz's (1986-1980) scientific influence in aesthetic especially. His writings have inter disciplinary character and this Polish humanist influenced many branches of science. First part of this paper contains biographical information about his professional life, scientific publications and papers. Tatarkiewicz's aesthetic became science which is consisted of his knowledge of philosophy and history of art. Second part of this paper is focused on scientifical works and the most important publication in aesthetic (History of Aesthetic, Droga przez estetykę, A history of six ideas). Concepts of his publications and papers are based on systematical interpretation of history and definitions of terms and historical-aesthetic concepts. Main goal of this paper is to specify methods of interpretation in Tatarkiewicz's works. |
