Description The article deals with methodological problems of the study of dynamic processes in modern Slavic languages. The attention is paid to the issues of the concept of internal and external factors of language evolution and synchronous dynamics. The author mentions the contradictions in modern terminology and calls for re-evaluation of understanding of internal factors of the language evolution. In doing so he points to the fact that the so-called linguistically systemic causes of development of language are essentially psychological factors. On an example of Russian and Czech languages he shows the mechanism of joint influence of internal and external factors on the genesis of certain types of lexical innovations.
