| Description | The authors understand anti-clericalism as part of the European processes of modernization, which wer accompanied by the building of the European nation states and their political institutions. Anticlericalism is the part of the "ambivalence of modernity", which is characterized by a clash of identities and the transformation of mentalities and life orientations. There are four main topics solved in the book - the idea of anti-clericalism, the mobilizational topics, the micro-historical view, the anti-clericalism in expatriate communities. |
