Description | Group polarization refers to the tendency for groups to make decisions that are more extreme than the initial inclination of its members. The article describes the theory of group polarization (social compare theory, persuasive arguments theory, self-categorization theory), risky shift phenomenon and groupthink. The article also deals with the possible impact of group polarization and at the end reflects on depolarization. |
