Description The article presents the history of "numerus clausus" and "bench ghetto" for Jewish students at universities in Poland in the period of Second Polish Republic (1918-1939). The work is divided into three parts according to the chronology of events. The most important are: attempt of law enforcement "numerus clausus" in 1923, a period of relative calm until 1931 and decrease of anti-Semitic manifestations and request a "bench ghetto" in the Polish universities in the 1930's. For comparison of anti-Semitism at universities in Poland and Czechoslovakia below is a brief description of the anti-Semitic events in Prague in 1929.
