Description The article focuses on the problems of using the comparative method in Church history of the first half of the 20th century. Main specifics of this method are shown on the comparison of three non-Catholic Churches: The Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren, The Czechoslovak (Hussite) Church, and The Brethren Church. The comparison of these Churches is based on two attitudes: (a) attitude to the “historical Christianity” (Apostolic Church, World and Bohemian Reformation) and (b) the application of knowledge of the Reformation history in their present.
