Description | The author of the present study demonstrates the specific character of contemporary methods at the example of Czech and Slovak literatures of recent decades. The contemporary memoirs are typical of indirectness, mediacy, metatextuality, a certain degree of falseness, and heterogeneity. Unlike its classical stage, oriented egocentrically or, on the contrary, ironically or self-ironically, there is an expressive narrative strategy, soft focus, concealment of one’s own opinion, evasiveness; one’s own opinion is being presented via documentary material (interview, correspondence, commentaries upon one’s own reading etc.) which is being demonstrated by the texts of Antonín Hošťálek, Mila Haugová and Veronika Šikulová tending towards commentaries, interviews, and diaries. |
