| Description | The main goal of the speech is to introduce research findings related to the issue of parental alienation. I will talk about its historical background as well as new research trends. The situation when a child rejects one of the parent during divorce/break up can be understood as the extreme form of loyalty conflict which children can experience during the process of dealing with the changes. We will discuss the process itself. Many factors also contribute to the rejection of one parent (e.g. personal charakteristics of both parents) and I will talk about some of them in more details. At the end I would like to invite marriage and family counsellors to participate in the first research on the topic conducted in the Czech Republic. |
