Description This paper focuses on the issue of religious faith in primary schools in the communist era in Czechoslovakia. The aim is to describe and interpret some of the everyday situations in which teachers had to perform tasks related to policy of securalization of Communist Party of Czechoslovakia. The authors focus not only on the content of the tasks related to the fulfillment of the policy of the Communist Party, but they concerned also about the ways of their implementation by teachers in their teaching activities. At the same time they pay attention to ideological issues during the teachers studies. The paper uses testimonies of witnesses obtained by the method of oral history, which complement the study of historical archival sources and contemporary legislation. A study introduce on the one hand the teacher in the role of "political tool" of the ruling Communist Party, but also reveals their difficult position in performing the tasks of the Party. It flowed from the ruling regime expectation that teachers will conscientiously and unconditionally carry out his instructions as well as from the efforts of teachers, which didn´t want negatively interfere the lives of students or their parents.
