Description The presentation deal with the philosophical consequences of using telescopes and microscopes in the scientific practice of 17th century. The use of optical devices had strong epistemological consequences: dissolution of the idea of stargazer, vanishing belief in natural congruency between human senses and nature, the discovery of relativity of human perception of the world.
