Description Presence of brownfield sites projects into many other scientific fields. Labor market represents one fields which are connected with devastated land. Labor market characteristics serves as a desccriprion metric to describe an additional value of regenerated site to its surroundings. Public administration uses the number of newly created jobs as an evaluation tool in public funded projects targeted to brownfield regeneration. The submitted contribution aims to describe the relationship between public funding of brownfield projects and changes in labor market in the South Moravian Region. It results an unclear relation between amount of public invested money and job creation, because the main effect of brownfield regeneration is a relocation of jobs deeper in urbanised land, which intensifies effective using of such area.
