Description | My presentation at the X. Convention of the Austrian and Central European Centers at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, called: Exile and Identity, dealt with a topic of "Czech" national identity in life-stories of the Czech post-Prague Spring Refugees in Austria living in the country after the Soviet invasion in 1968. It showed also the ways the Austrian government and society helped the people fleeding Czechoslovakia and ways these people integrated into the majority in Austria. |
