| Description | The aim of the article The Aesthetic Appreciation of Nature in the City is to emphasize the role of greenery in the urban environment, in respect of its aesthetic impact. First, the text deals with key words such as nature, environment and urban greenery. Then, the author presents two concepts of aesthetic experience brought by garden: according to Kaplický the practical function of garden via its creative element brings to the aesthetic quality; Dadejík understands the aesthetic experience with natural environment as the result of an active, multi-sensual and disinterested attitude. The article proceeds to the Berleant's concept of aesthetic environment and aesthetics of engagement: the interconnection of human, his environment and resulting creation of an authentic human environment are conditioned by the presence of aesthetic factor in the experience with environment. From these concepts the author finally concludes that aesthetic experience with urban greenery, which is part of the urban environment, has a relevant, valuable and positive influence on human experience with urban environment and its creation. |
