| Description | From ancient times angels were connected with allegory, symbolism and metaphor. Meanings associated with angels were stable and fixed. At the beginning of the 20th century we can see "explosion" of angelic creatures, completely different from the roles of angels in abrahamic religions. Nowadays, "the Angel" can be almost everything, even the pure esoteric kitsch. This way of angels - from religious allegory to esoteric kitsch - will be presented in our lecture. |
