Description The aim of this paper is to introduce the concept of dialogic teaching and to show - on data from our action research - how it is possible to expand the space for pupils' learning. In educational research, there is a long-term interest in how students participate in classroom discourse. This interest is linked to the conviction of the interdependence of thought and speech. Simply put, if the pupil in the classroom operates with information that previously did not have, and performs cognitive level operations, which previously was not able to, it means that learning takes place. The result of our project is to expand the space for pupils, which has both quantitative and qualitative character - students completed their utterances greater part of an lesson, formulate longer replicas and there are more productive interactions in lessons.
