| Description | The public lecture was hold within the cycle of public lectures Středověc Jinax in the Hans Belting Library on 8. 12. 2016 from 19:00 hours. The lecture spoke about the priory from the 11th and 12th century in La Charité-sur-Loire in Burgundy. The main aim of the lecture was not just the presentation of the history of the architecture, today's disposition and the state of preservation of the priory, which were mentioned too, but also the unique sculptural decorations, best preserved at two tympanums, that have very untraditional iconography of the Mother of God, which was probably connected also with the liturgical drama, which was played in this church. |
