| Description | The study deals with the phenomeon of baroque Latin. The Latin of baroque is analyzed from the point of view of sociolingusitics and history of culture both in the context of Central Europe and of the Czech Lands. The special attention is paid to the social role of Latin in the period of baroque, diglossia and its relation toward the vernacular languages. |
