Description In the generally methodological study, the author considers the choice of appropriate method for sociologically oriented critical language analysis of a larger amount of media texts which would allow acquirement and following effective analysis of language data upon monitoring language aggression and language manipulation in contemporary media discourse. The author considers the method created by sociologist, media analyst, and publicist Jan Miessler an appropriate compromise between quantitatively oriented content analysis which allows only superficial processing of large amount of texts, and critical discourse analysis focused on in-depth analysis of a limited amount of texts. The method linking advantages of content analysis, discursive analysis, and quantitative narrative analysis of R. Fransozi is based on coding of language units and strings based on respective semantic criteria which are not given a priori, but created by the analyst during analysis of media statements content.
