Description | This contribution is devoted to one aspect of teaching South Slavic languages that is relatively overlooked at Czech universities. Although these courses generally do sufficiently cover traits specific to the environment of a studied language, the same cannot be said for the daily life and institutions of their own, Czech environment. And yet in practice, superb knowledge of these matters and the ability to readily express them in a foreign language are demanded of translators and interpreters very frequently. |
