| Description | The paper aims to present relevant studies focusing on word order in Czech nominal phrases (both nineteenth-century grammar books and books about the history of Czech grammar), and use their explanations to outline the main tendencies influencing the word order of modifying components of nominal phrases in earlier stages of Czech language development. These tendencies are later confronted with the findings of research analysing NP word order which has been conducted by the author of the paper. |
