Citation
Description The publication South Slavonic Phraseology in Contrastive Aspect is a compendium of texts of a dozen of authors from seven countries. Its aim is to explore the similarities and differences in certain aspects of phraseology in South Slavonic and West Slavonic languages, but in comparison in some of the chapters are included also Russian (genetic linguistic reasons) and Hungarian (cultural-historical reasons) phrasemes. Publication has unconventional intention to compare certain linguistic phenomena in the context of the synchronous studies of the so-called „small“ languages and it contributes to a better understanding not only of language but also of literary, cultural, historical, ethnographic, and other links of the South Slavonic nations with Central Europe.
