Description This books describes design thinking and its possible applications in libraries. Its main part consists of 5 original case studies from the Czech Republic, which describe the procedure of the innovation of services with involvement of their users that was achieved through the use of research, analytical, and design methods, which arose based on a series of interviews with librarians. Case studies are complemented with theoretical texts about design thinking and comparisons of methods. The book acts both independently and as a complement of Libdesign: 35 methods for the improvement of services methodology. This text was created as an output from project Libdesign: Design Thinking in Libraries, which was supported within the framework of EEA and Norway Grants.
