| Description | Development of the Department of Ethnology at the university in Brno is in this book presented at the background of wider framing of the Faculty of Arts and the Masaryk University. Collecting sources was based on couple of yearbooks of the university in Brno along with partial evaluations of the department, anniversary articles or personal bibliographies of teachers. Archive of Masaryk University served as source of documents. Publication covers all spheres of department work – education, research and organizing with focus on last decade, which was accompanied by generational change, but also by new social situation in the Czech Republic and Europe. It again introduced issues of ethnical and regional identity or multiculturalism and brought new research possibilities. |
