| Description | The paper focused on the motive of a political coup in the works of Egon Hostovsky, in particular on the example of his novel The Missing, whose story takes place in the atmosphere of the events in February 1948 in former Czechoslovakia , and the only author's drama Osvoboditel se vrací, which thematizes the revolution in a fictitious island country Kalin republic in 20th century. The contribution focused on introducing the play, which is not well known in the Czech context, as well as the mutual comparison of the two works, especially within the framework of the mentioned motivational line. |
