Citation
Description This year we celebrate 200 years since the discovery of two old-Czech literary texts, Manuscript of Dvůr Králové and Manuscript of Zelená Hora. There soon broke out disputes about their authenticity. These disputes were held in waves and they gain great attention among Czech scientists and the public. My paper concerns the dispute between František Mareš, defender of authenticity of manuscripts, and Masaryk's “realists” (opponents). The focus of my interest is not the technical details, but questions of scientific methodology, argumentation methods and criticism of positivism.
