Description | This contribution considers consultants as change agents, therefore those who support schools and people in schools so that they change their work and improve the quality of teaching and pupils´ results. The authors first discuss various types of school consultants and their focus; then they present results of an evaluation survey aimed at the impact of the work educational consultants in two basic schools in the Czech Republic participating in a specific continuous project for school support. Particular changes are described by the authors in six fields: pupils´ learning and results, professional development and innovations, clear objectives and collective planning, sharing and openness, intense work of teachers and individual responsibilities. The authors also pay attention to circumstance enabling or facilitating the acceptance and operation of consultants in schools. |
