Description The aim of the research was to examine the relationship between generativity and various aspects of well-being in young adults. We proceeded from McAdams and St. Aubin´s model of generativity, Diener´s concept of subjective well-being, and Ryff´s model of psychological well-being. Sample consisted of 323 persons (93 men; 18-40 years, mean age 25.3 years), 51% students and 62% in partnership/marriage. Respondents completed online questionnaires regarding generative concern (LGS), generative action (GBC), life satisfaction (SWLS), and psychological well-being (PWB). Generative concern and action significantly correlated with psychological well-being and satisfaction with life. As predictors they explained significant amount of variability of psychological well-being and satisfaction with life (up to 38%). Mediation analysis revealed that influence of generative concern and generative action on satisfaction with life is significantly mediated by psychological well-being.
