Description | Mortarium fragments found in one of the settlements in Middle-Danubian Barbaricum – Vlčnov-Dolní Němčí are usually considered as an evidence of local mortaria production. While re-analysing the find, a possibility of a local mortaria production was carefully considered. New interpretation of the archaeological situation was conducted by the author of the poster. Spectral analyses and their interpretation have been provided by co-authors Letizia Ceccarelli and Monika Koróniová. The aim of the new analysis was to determine any similarities between the vessel (mortaria) and other pottery fragments found on the site, which are quite certainly of a local origin. |
