Description | In the first part of my talk, I presented the current research of orality and literacy in the Byzantine literature. In the second part, I introduced the preliminary set features that – at least in some of their shapes – originate from the oral storytelling and that I consider them as worth a detailed analysis and within the genre of edifying story. Finally, I presented some preliminary remarks on the use and function of the historical present tense in this genre. |
