Description The evolution of a new artistic expression in Czechoslovakia after the First World War was determined by socio-cultural changes across the Europe. Czech Avant-garde took the main influence from (French) surrealism and (Soviet) Marxism; the inner controversy between these two conceptions was the origine of a dynamics of Czech surrealism which was the most significant art movement between the wars.
