Description	The article deals with a matter of a teacher in contemporary citizens’ school in Baťa’s Zlín. I mainly paid attention on the issue of the role of the teacher and his relationship with children and their parents. Then, some teachers of the citizens’ school (Stanislav Vrána, Nora Hradilová, Antonín Grác and Ladislav Vlček) are mentioned.
