| Description | The text focuses on the private travel diary of the Czechoslovak archaeologist and Buddhologist Lumír Jisl. The text covers his stay in the People’s Republic of China from 6 September 1957 to 10 February 1958 and it openly and critically captures the atmosphere of Chinese everyday life. Jisl portrayed in a vivid way mainly diverse Buddhist and other temples, rock and cave sacral complexes, and other significant monuments of Chinese history.
