Description | A series of lectures and seminars, which focused on the problem of wandering, exile and providing asylum in ancient Greece, Rome and Byzantium, was held at the workshop that took place in Kaprálův mlýn near Brno. There were analyzed and discussed some characteristic cases from mythology and history with the students: the myth of Argonauts in the view of modern theories, "the adventure" of ancient science, the escapades of the Byzantine adventurer Andronicus Comnenus, the exile of M. Tullius Cicero, exile in the Roman law in the Principate, the issue of asylum in connection with children in Antiquity, exile and asylum in the intermediate period between Antiquity and the Middle Ages.
