| Description | The author of the present study deals with his own way to the study of the novel through the novel-chronicle and memoirs as part of general genre studies (genology) demonstrating at the example of some works and conceptions of the theorists of the novel, mainly that of Bakhtin’s, several developmental lines, one of them belonging to the memoir and documentary poetics the typology of which he tries to come to and analyze, the second to a form of a historiosophic structure (M. Urban, E. Vodolazkin). The novel has – except of its epistemological and aesthetic functions – a protective and redemptive role. The future danger consists – due to the author – in the depersonalization, tendencies towards mass character and the general defocusing and disintegration. |
