| Description | The author of the present study analyzes the complex character of Brno Russian studies as a natural result of the convergent development seeking and finding the common space consisting in the penetration of language, style, poetics, and comparative studies. He demonstrates the creation of selected personalities of Brno Russian studies – both literary critics and linguists – with special regard to Roman Mrázek, Mečislav Krhoun, Danuše Kšicová, and others, and refers to his own studies in which he deals with some other personalities of Brno Slavonic studies, such as Frank Wollman, Roman Jakobson, Sergii Vilinskii, Josef Jirásek, and others. |
