Description | Separation of nonpolar lipids is routinely accomplished by reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) in combination with UV or more specific APCI MS detection. In this work, separation of cholesteryl esters using RP-HPLC combined with on-line UV and APCI detection is supplemented with off-line mass spectrometry detection facilitated by surface-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (SALDI MS) using suspension of silver nanoparticles as matrix. |
