| Description | The article presents a review of the children’s novel The Crow's Incredible Hitchhiking Adventure by Frida Nilsson, published originally in Sweden in 2004 and translated into Czech in 2017 by Viola Somogyi (and published as Vránova neobyčejná dobrodružství). The review introduces the author to the reader, names the context of contemporary Swedish children’s literature, judges literally qualities of the title with regards to its target reader and identifies its basic theme. The review shortly evaluates the translation, too, and comments also on the illustrations that usually play a significant role as a conveyor of meaning in children’s literature. |
