| Description | The lecture was created for the academic conference, which took place on 18th - 20th May 2018 in Nový Smokovec in Slovakia. The presentation introduced Tyrš's main thoughts, methodological and theoretical approaches to arts. Tyrš was influenced by greek culture, Schopenhauer's pesimism and voluntarism, Darwin's theory of evolution or socio-aesthetic method by Hippolyte Taine. He managed to create a vast literary work, that remains fascinating and peculiar to the present day. |
