Description | In this paper we will focus on the practical aspect of conducting systematic case studies - a research design, which very well corresponds to the so-called practice-oriented research. The therapist is here understood as a practitioner who asks questions about his or her work and seeks to answer them in a systematic way. The process of conducting case studies simplified into several phases: (1) therapist's decision to conduct a case study, clarification of potential benefits, (2) preparation, during which the therapist formulates a research question and a design of the study, (3) data collection, and (4) data analysis and writing the case study. In the conclusion, we offer a reflection on how the case studies can be enriched through a collaboration with another researcher or a student. |
