| Description | The paper deals with the distribution of outbound tourism around the world. The aim is to analyse and evaluate the main tourist flows. It brings a cartographic analysis of their spatial distribution. The article identifies the most important source countries of international tourism, which are the main cause of long-term growth of international tourism development. The result of the analyses is the identification of three basic processes that are being enforced in international outbound tourism. The first is the concentration of tourist flows at the level of individual macro-regions, the other is the growing number of destinations that are involved in international tourism, and finally the third is the still prevailing - even though gradually weakening - position of Europe and the related strengthening of East and Southeast Asia |
