Description The Czech scientific literature has paid attention to clothing and adornments of members of German population both in the comprehensive territory of Western Bohemian and in language islands in Moravia, especially in the Kravařsko and Hřebečsko regions. Based on German written documentation, iconographic sources and material evidence in museums one can make an idea the way of wearing jewels that were an integral part of male and especially female costume since the late 18th century. Mainly the female ceremonial costume conserved some archaic relict. Brides were adorned with headbands with pendants, crowns and metal belt and they wore capes of Renaissance type.
