Description | The erythemal UV radiation time series from Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic, was reconstructed for the period 1964-2013 and an analysis of high erythemal UV radiation doses was performed. It was found that high EUV radiation doses most likely occur on cloudless or partly cloudy days with low amount of ozone, and with increased surface albedo in winter. The corresponding dynamical conditions are a wedge of Azores High promontory reaching to central Europe and a strong stratospheric polar vortex. |
