Description Since the beginnings of European music culture, the development of musical thinking has been governed by the dispositions of the architectural space for which it was intended. From a historical point of view, it is possible to prove how architecture shaped the music. A walk through the development of spatially conditioned forms of music will lead from the medieval and modern cathedrals, through the castle concert halls to the contemporary architecture, dedicated to music. In the 20th century, we provide the examples of blending time and space concepts of music and explore their causes.
