Description | The aim of this thesis is to consider the issue of objectivity in prominent German media (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Der Spiegel) and their coverage of the Czech Republic and politics. The thesis strives to demonstrate that the media coverage of the Czech Republic is biased. The author takes into account the pragmatic perspective of communication and the role of metaphor in our everyday language by presenting metaphor as a key concept in rhetoric, philosophy and pragmatics. In the analytical part the author examines and describes various aspects of these theories in an analysis of selected discursive fragments from German online media. |
