Description | This paper discussed the mosaic christological cycle of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo, a Late Antique basilica from the beginning of the sixth century. Based on examination of the side aisles as ideal viewpoint for observing this cycle and supported by texts of the Church Fathers, this paper linked the cycle to the baptismal rite. |
