| Description | 30ties and 40ties are ussualy considered as peak period of Prague School, when it comes to theatre. In this period are published crucial texts by Jan Mukařovský, Jindřich Honzl and Jiří Veltruský. Years after 1945 are usually ignored, or seen only in terms of political and social changes. But especially between 1945 and 1948 there were written texts sumarising and systematising structural theory of theatre (by authors like Peter Karvaš, Karel Bundálek or Jan Kopecký). Exploration of this period could show us how structural tradition is created, developed and passed on in texts, teaching or personal ties. Also we can explore in detail relation between structuralism and existential thinking. |
