Description This study deals with the comparison of current physical education curricular documents (especially education programmes) of the Czech Republic and Spain for primary education. The motive for elaborating this text arises from the Czech educational reform and its unsatisfactory results. Thus, the authors intention is to assess different approaches toward projecting physical education curricula. The results could support current elaboration, revision and innovation of the Czech curricula documents. In the key analysis and description of the Spanish curricula paper for primary education we concentrate on the framework of the document and especially its physical education content. In the result part we discuss the similarities and differences between the Czech and Spanish physical education curricula. We analyse some chosen qualities of the analysed intended curricula and we formulate some recommendations for the Czech educational programmes revisions.
