| Description | Music, as a phenomenon going across all cultures, epochs, and phases of civilization development, attracts the attention of scientists from the earliest stages of science development. Current approaches and models, asking about the meaning of music for the human, but also more outwardly oriented research positions, related to the historical epoch, culture, style or area; consider the choice of research strategy and the quality of research as essential moments, constituting the scientific nature of the research conducted. The paper outlines basic shapes of research strategy choice in the sciences concerning music as their research problem, and shows possibilities that a qualitative approach offers to solve selected dilemmas and problems given by the abstract nature of music. |
