| Description | The text discusses the issue of university teaching of Bulgarian studies at Masaryk university in Brno, Czechia, it presents the traditions and the contemporary situation in teaching Bulgarian language in Brno – it is taught at Bulgarian philology and also at Balkan studies. In our paper we reflect the new requirements on teaching Bulgarian in foreign universities. The text is also an attempt to answer the question of what the new structure of Bulgarian philology degree programs, which will be offered since 2019 will bring to students and university teachers. |
